"I fully enjoyed this book! This is a solid fantasy novel with excellent, multi-faceted characters that have good depth. I thought the story was just the right mix of intrigue and coming of age story. Some nice twists and turns and well written fight and battle scenes. The political landscape is a fascinating one too - there isn't a clear "right" or "wrong" path in this story - but the characters each have their allegiances and it makes for an exciting read. After I started, I looked forward to picking it up again when I had to stop reading, and near the end I was completely engrossed, wondering how it was all going to end. And now...I have to wait for the next book to follow these awesome characters further. I'm definitely excited for the sequel to come out!"
