The review copies are out. The hard work is done. The Road of Fathers is now making its journey out there into the ether to see what its purpose in life is. I feel good. And proud. The cliché is to say, this is my baby. But I think of it as my soul.
When I was 10 years old, and Star Wars hit me deep inside, this story came to me. The character of Tyrian Fellhawk and his dog Wolf. Over the years, I pushed it aside as a silly fantasy story when I yearned for deeper thoughts. Camus, Kundera, Salinger…that’s who I wanted to be. But as an adult I realized…the story was not going away. And it spoke to me.
So the work has been done.
And even as I take a breath and celebrate what I’ve done, I am sketching out the second book, The Road to Anarchy.
The main thing is, I hope it is read and enjoyed.
